DIY Patio Table

diy patio furniture

I’m excited about today’s post because it means my DIY patio table is done!!  In the early spring I saw a picture of a patio set and I loved the table and thought it would be useful for our patio area. It was around $200 and I thought that was pretty steep for this particular table. So what do I do next? Did a little research and after a few weeks I finally found what I wanted in an outdoor table. I emailed Jason the plans and a few days later he started building it. I believe he enjoys my list of DIY projects so he can use his tools for said projects.

We already had our chairs and other side tables but the coffee table helps to bring it all together. I love the way it turned out and think it looks great for this particular patio.

Here are the plans we used. On the plans provided they did not use a kreg jig, but Jason did because the results are much cleaner. All of the screws are concealed on the underside of the table.

Jason also used this saw, these screws, this sander, this stain. The wood used is untreated, #2 SPF, 2x4X8.

The total for the supplies, minus the tools war around $50. Much less expensive then the tables I found online and in stores.diy patio table

Also, I love this plant holder and I bought it from here.

  1. I love that you have used DIY to make such a great table for your patio! My wife and I are going to be using some pallets to make some tables for our friends. I will have to make sure to use my DIY skills as well as you have here! Can’t wait to see what we can come up with in the near future.
