Strawberry Pie

A summertime classic

Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie shell
  • 1 qt. fresh strawberries
  • 1 ½ c. water
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • dash salt
  • 1 small box strawberry Jell-o
  • Whipped topping

Instructions

  • Slice strawberries and put in cooled baked pie shell
  • Combine water, sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan
  • Cook until thick
  • Stir in Jell-O and mix well
  • Pour over strawberries while hot
  • Chill overnight or until set
  • Top with whipped topping
