Peach Cobbler
Ingredients

sliced
fresh peaches
¾
cup
sugar plus one tablespoon
divided

cup
plus 2 tablespoons flour
divided

tablespoon
lemon juice
1
tablespoon
butter
1 ½
teaspoon
baking powder
½
teaspoon
salt
3
tablespoons
shortening
½
cup
milk
Instructions
Grease a 7x11 inch casserole dish.
Combine flour and sugar.
Place sliced peaches in dish and sprinkle with flour and sugar mix.
Sprinkle lemon juice over the flour/sugar mixture and top with butter.
Allow peaches to sit while you combine the dough.
Sift one cup of flour.
Sift together the sifted flour, baking powder, salt, one tablespoon sugar.
Cut in shortening to the flour mixture.
Stir in milk to make a soft dough.
Drop by spoonfuls onto peaches.
Bake for 425 degrees for 30 minutes.
Notes
The pan size I used was 7x10 inch, but 7x11 inch may be more common.
