Pre heat oven to 350°
Grease bottom of 9"x13" pan.
In a large bowl combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Gently mix until all combined.
Pour into prepared cake pan.
Gently sprinkle the cake mix on top of the pumpkin mixture trying to cover the entire pan.
Top with chopped pecans
Drizzle melted butter over the pecans.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and set.
Cool completely, uncovered, and then cover and refrigerate. Allow to chill for at least 5 hours.
Top with whipped topping
