Place lemons, salt and sugar in a medium saucepan and mash lemons with a potato masher or spoon.
Mash until the sugar is dissolved.
Juice will thicken to a thin syrup consistency.
The juicing should take about 3-5 minutes.
Using a strainer pour the liquid into a large measuring glass or pitcher. Squeeze the lemons again to catch any leftover juice. Stir in water and chill for one hour or drink soon afterward.
Notes
I have yet to let my lemonade chill. I just fill a glass with ice and drink right away.
