Crockpot Candy-chocolate covered roasted peanut clusters made in the crockpot. Christmas candy doesn’t get much easier than this. Although my poppy chow recipe is also very easy and fun to make during Christmas.
I first made this yummy crock pot candy several years ago when we were first married and it’s something I don’t think I could ever get tired of making. Candy making in the crock pot is so easy. All the ingredients are placed in the crockpot and set for 1.5 hours and then you mix everything together and then drop by spoonfuls on wax paper. Stress free candy making!

I see a lot of variations of this recipe, and mostly I see the recipe using white almond bark. While I am sure that’s delicious too, my recipe calls for the chocolate and they turn out delicious every time.
How long does the candy last?
After the crockpot candy as completely cooled, you can store them in an air tight container for 2-3 weeks, if it even lasts that long. Freezing is also another option. Once the candy is completely cooled then you can place in a freezer safe bag and thaw in the refrigerator.
This candy is incredibly easy to make, but it’s also incredibly easy for sharing. It can be packaged nicely in a tin, wrapped in a cellophane bag or even just given in a festive zip bag.
Crock Pot Candy
- slow cooker
- 1 package of chocolate almond bark
- 4 oz. german chocolate that's half the box
- 24 oz. dry roasted salted peanuts make sure you check the size of your jar of peanuts. You may need to buy more than one.
- 12 oz. package of milk chocolate chips
- Layer all ingredients in the slow cooker, in order given.
- Heat on low for 1.5-2 hours.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto sheets of wax paper and allow to set for 2-3 hours.
- If am in a hurry, I will place the wax paper on a baking sheet, so if needed I can pop the baking sheet into the fridge, or set it outside if its cold enough, for about 15 minutes. That helps the candy to harden up a little quicker.
