My husband and I had a recent lunch date that involved us discovering a new cafe on accident. While walking to the Subway, where we were going to grab a sandwich and have a quick lunch, we noticed a new cafe and coffee shop. It's in the bottom floor of an existing building on Main Street. I believe it opened at the beginning of January. We peeked inside to glance over the menu and decided to try it.
The menu offers a variety of sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu has me wanting to go back and try something from it. Cafe Keough also had coffee, chai tea and sodas served in glass bottles.
We each ordered a hot sandwich. I thought several sandwiches and salads sounded good but I stayed safe and ordered the grilled cheese. The bread that they use is unlike any bread I've had before and it was delicious. My husband's sandwich was also tasty. It had basil pesto on it and that was a deciding factor for him.
The overall ambiance of the cafe kept us in there much longer than we expected. It's very open and spacious. The type of ambiance that makes you feel like you can press pause on life and have a slow lunch, enjoying the food and the company.
My husband quickly noticed how they used repurposed materials in the cafe which helps to add to their already architecturally beautiful environment.
We grabbed some coffees to go in hopes they would keep us warm. It was very cold and windy outside that day.

Oh my goodness! I just hollered at my hubs from across the room telling him "We HAVE to go here!" What a good little find 🙂 I am loving the look of the place AND the menu!

Yes, you should check it out! It's a fun place. It's across from Felicia Suzanne's restaurant. 🙂
