Mini S'mores: Ritz Crackers, Hershey kiss, Fluffy marshmallow! Just enough s'more to curb your craving.
I have professed my love for s'mores before, but I feel the need to do it again. I. LOVE. S'MORES!! Like, I *think* it's my favorite flavor combination, ever! So, today I am not sharing a recipe, but rather a method. A method for when you are in need of something sweet and you need it fast. For me this happens almost daily....Right in the middle of the afternoon I need chocolate. These mini s'mores are perfect for curbing that craving. For the record, I do not eat a s'more everyday. 😉
Since this method uses Hershey kisses it's perfect for making just one...or three. 🙂 Just grab a sleeve of Ritz crackers, a bag of marshmallows and unwrap a kiss. I like to place them on a baking sheet in a warm oven. About 300 degrees for four to five minutes. This allows them to slowly soften but not melt completely and make a big mess. If you don't want to warm up the oven then pop one in the microwave.
By using a Hershey Kiss, Ritz Cracker and half of a marshmallow these become mini s'mores. An ideal size for a little afternoon pick-me-up. A Hershey Kiss is the perfect amount of chocolate for a Ritz Cracker. I cut a marshmallow in half because that's also the perfect amount of gooey marshmallow, but feel free to use a whole marshmallow if you would like. I can't say I've never done it, myself.
I must add that these are also fabulous with a spread of peanut butter on the cracker..Oh, you guys..It is like Reese's and s'mores rolled into one. AMAZING! You gotta try it!
