Snowman Pops- marshmallows, peanut butter, semi-sweet chocolate and all the toppings you can think of.
Hey, guys! It's Peanut Butter Bash time which means myself and some other fabulous bloggers are bringing you a yummy recipe using peanut butter plus the addition of marshmallows for the month of December. Be sure to check out the other links at the bottom of the page.
I'm a marshmallow girl..like, I reeaallllyyyyy love marshmallows. That's why I have such an infatuation with s'mores. So, I was very excited when marshmallow was our ingredient to use for the month of December. I knew these snowman pops would be the perfect thing to make and share with you.
This is a great option for food gifts. Wrap these in cellophane bags, tie with a ribbon and you've got an adorable food gift to share with others. If peanut butter is not something you can use then feel free to leave it out. Add some oil to the chocolate though to help give it a smooth consistency.
Also, kids could be great helpers with this recipe. It can get a bit messy when dipping the marshmallows in the chocolate but they could definitely sprinkle on the toppings. For the toppings, I used mini marshmallows, red and green sprinkles, flaked coconut, and sugar crystals. Chopped nuts would be delicious, too!
These could easily be made with white chocolate (I would use almond bark since it melts smoother) and the sprinkles can be any color you like. If you're throwing a Frozen themed birthday party these would make great treats.
Of course, I made these while my husband is traveling for work. So, he can't take them to work tomorrow and share them. I placed them in the freezer so they are out of mt sight...not out of my mind though. lol!
Here's the recipe for these delicious, addicting and fun to make snowman pops!
Snowman Pops
Ingredients
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter or 4 ½ teaspoons canola oil
- 36 to 40 large marshmallows
- 18-20 Popsicle sticks
- Toppings of your choice
Instructions
- In a microwave safe bowl melt chocolate and peanut butter and stir until smooth. Microwave every 30 seconds.
- Thread two marshmallows on a Popsicle stick until all are used.
- Roll marshmallows into the chocolate mixture and allow the excess to drip off.
- Sprinkle with toppings of your choice.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- Chill until firm.
Notes
You may need to spoon the chocolate over the marshmallows depending on how shallow your bowl is.
I used a spoon the gently scrape off the excess chocolate before topping with the toppings.
