Oven Baked Tacos make a great option for your next Taco Tuesday dinner.
We love oven baked tacos at our house and this beef tacos recipe has made it even easier for my little kids to enjoy tacos too. Baking the taco shells filled with meat and cheese somehow helps them to not fall apart as easily, which helps my littles to be able to eat their taco better. I'm not going to say that they never crack and fall apart but it just doesn't seem to happen as easily as when I don't take the little bit of extra time a and bake the taco shells with the meat and cheese in them.
It's important to make sure the fat is drained as much as possible and the water and seasoning are well absorbed to help the shells not get soggy while baking. If you feel like your taco meat is on the liquid side then you can roll up some aluminum foil in the shape of a log and lay those pieces down in your 9x13 pan with the tacos on top of the foil to help the tacos not get soggy.
These baked tacos uses your favorite taco meat and seasonings and then you can top with your favorite toppings. I have a recipe for taco seasoning or you can grab your favorite envelope mix from the store.
When I make baked tacos for my family I use a pound of ground beef and a mixture of hard and soft shells. I like my tacos topped with cheese, lettuce, sour cream and our favorite taco sauce.
Next time you have tacos at your house I hope you try baking the shells stuffed with meat and cheese and see how well you like them!
